Road to the Eagle
     To become an Eagle Scout is a challenge that many young boys take head on.  To make it through the ranks takes a hard working individual.  To receive the status of Eagle Scout is an honor that only the elite receives.
     First things first, I will discuss the basics of being a Boy Scouts.  The first requirement to be a Boy Scout is to be an eleven-year-old boy or an eighteen-year-old girl.  Yes, that is right, a girl can be registered in the BSA (Boy Scouts of America) as long as she is eighteen years old.  Next thing, believing in a god of some sort, whether a Jewish, Catholic, or Buddhist, does not matter.  One of the twelve laws of the BSA is reverent and thus Atheists, Satanist, Devil Worshipers, ect. are not permitted in the BSA.  Those are the basic requirements for being a Boy Scout.
     Once a Boy Scout, it is time to advance through the ranks.  The first rank in the BSA is Scout.  The next step is to become a Tenderfoot Scout.  Learning the most basic scouting skills can achieve this rank.  Skills such as:  basic first aid, orienteering, camping, and a few basic knots.  The next two steps are second-class and first class.   To achieve these ranks, a scout must master the skills learned while working towards the rank of Tenderfoot.  The next step in climbing the ladder towards eagle is the Star Rank.  Earning five merit badges, three of which must be eagle required merit badges, will earn Star Rank.  It is required to be a first class scout for six months.  While a first class scout it is mandatory to hold a leadership position, carry out yourself, and take part in a service project.
After all these requirements have been met, a rank of Star Scout is granted.  The next rank to be achieved is the Life Rank.  The requirements to be a Life Scout are very similar to that of a Star Scout. The one difference is earning seven more merit bad...
