You Took the Words Right Out Of My Mouth

Have you ever read or heard a quotation that you couldn't get out of your mind?  Maybe you were at a seminar on "The key to a happy life", or you were at a family reunion where Uncle Jimmy was telling an old Vietnam story.  Maybe you were reading a good book about the early philosophers.  Whatever you may have been doing, you probably were not looking for an outstanding quote to memorize and keep with you the rest of your life.  So sometime during Dr. Know's allocution on how you should live your life, or uncle Jimmy's annoying voice, or while you were learning about Plato and his views on the truth, something accidentally caught your attention.  It could have been as simple as five words or as complex as five lines.  What was it about these quotes that made you want to remember them?   According to Southern Illinois University students in Carbondale, the five best quotes were based upon the following criteria.  How well the quote related to one's life, how interesting the topic of the quote, whether it was thought provoking, how short the quote, and how clear it was.
