Controversial Issue Essay
Privacy is the Best Policy

     How would one feel if a person looked through all of one’s property and belongings?  Ponder on this question for a moment.  Chances are, the majority of whoever answers this question, all the answers would be identical.  The answer would all be, “ I would feel pretty bad!”  Considering this question and answer to the question, parents should not be allowed to search through their children’s rooms.  Though there maybe a few circumstances, parents searching their children’s rooms is a bad habit, and should be fixed by many parents across America.  Giving privacy to the children, gives adults an easy path through parenting and the results of a strict path.  Parents should not look through their children’s rooms without consent, at any consequences.
     The saying, “Like father like son,” tells people in four words, how children follow their parents habits, regardless if they are bad or good.  When parents search through their children’s rooms, like search dogs in a drug house, they don’t realize what message they send to their children.  Children would learn from their parents that looking through other people’s property is permitted.  If parents don’t look through their children’s room, then the child can be having problems that parents don’t know about.  This could not realistically occur though.  Parents can detect problems with the children, outside of their rooms.  If any mental or physical problems are evident with the children, then the results would show with the children’s interactions with the family.  Looking through the children’s rooms and invading children’s private property, is not required in searching for any problems.  With careful observations of the children, problems can be found in a facilitated manner, without the risk of teaching kids bad manners of invading privacy.
     Parents always thrive for the perfect relationship with their children.  This goal would never be reached if any parents violate the privacy of their chil...
