Youngster murdered

Huck Finn, A young man from Hannibal was murdered in his father's cabin yesterday. Huck's caretaker Widow Douglas says that his father came into her house and took him to his cabin, kidnapping him. Recently Huck's father has received partial custody by a local judge. Widow Douglas claims that his father was a bad influence and that it is a possibility that he violently beat Huck. His father claims he was out fishing and when he came back he found blood all over the cabin and a trail leading to the river. The trail looks like a body there was dragged into the river and dumped. "I jus' wanted to vis't my boy, I dunno how I ca' live wit' out 'im" said Hucks dad. On a similar note, Miss Watson's slave Jim has run away. He escaped about the same time that Huck was found missing. Jim is the primary suspect in the murder of Huck Finn at this time. "If that nigger killed my son I want him alive so's I can hang 'im meself" Said Mr. Finn.
