Have you ever wanted to feel what it’s like to be in a combat situation without putting
your life in danger?  Have you ever wanted to see how it felt to be a sniper in the trees
but never wanted to join the armed forces?  Well if you answered yes, maybe you should
look into paintballing.
The sport of paint balling is only 15 years old, but since it started it has become
recognized as one of the world’s most exciting outdoor sports.  Paintball is a sport played
by all people.  It is a sport where women and men compete equally, where age is not
dominated by youth.  Paint ball builds character, players learn about teamwork, gain self
confidence and develop leadership abilities while at the same time relieving stress.
When ever I have the money, I try to go paint balling as much as possible.  I
remember the first time I went with a friend who had experience I was a little intimidated
and I was asking questions the whole way to the field.
Today I am going to answer three of those questions.  First being “what is
paintball” second “What kinds of paint markers are there?” and third “How safe is it?”

The First question that comes to mind is of course, “what is paintball?”

Well in typical game, players will divide into two teams and play “capture the flag”.
THe object of the game is to  capture the other team’s flag while protecting your own.
On top of that, you must also (show gogged) try to iliminate anyone who gets in your
way by shooting them with a paintball that’s kind of like a tylonol gel cap only it’s filled
with vegetable based paint.(show ball)  Depending on field size and how many people
are there that day, the teams can range from 1 to 1,000 people on each side.  Each game
is 20 minutes, if no team has the flag after 20 minutes is up, it is a draw.  Between games
players can take a break to re-fill their guns, have a soda or drink and share battle wounds
and stories.  So win or lose, everyone has a great time.
So you see the concept of the sport is quite simple and doesn’t really need too
much time to be taught.  the one thing that does take a little practice is the paint gun itself
which leads me to the second question.

What kinds of paint guns are there?

Paint guns come in a variety of shapes and sizes, they can be powered by Co2, Nitrogen,
or even compressed air.  There are four basic types of guns that you can use on the field.
First their are pump guns, which work basically like a shotgun, y...
