Pregnancy and sexually active teenagers is the problem that the US is facing. They are so busy maintaining their "super power" title that they somehow forget about the teeneagers that are the future of the country. The American society focuses only in materials things. They think about their jobs, cars, money, computers or other new technology and other values as family communication are almost forgotten. The failure of the American society that prevent it to take action on the problem, is that they don’t think or they want to ignore the teenagers problem by saying, "leave them alone, they act like this because they are teenagers." From my point of view they try to ignore the problem by giving them free condoms, but they don’t seem to try to cut the problem from the root. I think that the condom will cut down the number of pregnant teens, but the problem is that they still sexual active. I have seen shows as Sally or Jerry Springer, were a twelve year old thought she was pregnant and the other girl was out of control and her mother was crying because her daughter had more than one sexual partner. Is this a society with good set of values? Not only the government and the family are failling to repair the problem, but there are other elements that are helping to make the problem a even bigger one. Television is one of these elements. MTV, there is a lot of sex there, in the videos they show, and the silly programs they show. Computers is the other element , pornography is very easy to see in the internet and the parents of the children can control or be all the time with them when they are in the computer. The remedy for this program is to get Americans families to communicate more with their children. They should talk more with them, pay attention to them. They usually have questions and they see their parents so busy that they do not even try to talk to them. The other remedy is to have less sex on TV. ... This is not the end of the termpaper!
