Finding a mate

Most animals have find ways of communicating to help find a mate. They make visual, sounds, and chemical signals. A lot of the male animals are much more colourful then the females. This is so the male can attract the female. The male may not always be colourful trough the year. He may just "colour-up" at the beginning of a mating season. According to researchers apparently there is this animal in the jungle and his way of showing that he is attracted to the female is to go up to her and pee on her.
    Perfumes called pheromones are used by many animals to attract a mate. Some smells often tell a male that a female is ready to accept him.

Animals communicating

    When horses great each other they they pull back there lip and show there teeth. It's kind of saying "hello."
    Elephants often behave very affectionately towards each other. When two elephants meet they touch trunks and rub shoulders.
    Chimpanzees often shake hands and touch faces to great each other. It's mostly mothers an babies that behave like this. Chimps also hug each other. This is a proper greeting. Chips even make different faces to tell other chimps how they feel.
    When ducks meet for the first time in a pond they usually take a drink. This is a Greeting ceremony and a sign of peace.
* People have been able to talk to dolphins by using music as a common language.

Animal relationships

Some animals stay together for life. It's a little bit like a marriage, Geese, swans, penguins, etc. Do this. This does have its advantages. Parents don't have to waste their time finding new partners each year. However on the other hand animals such as polar bears & elephants split up the babies by her self. Other animals such as lions, wolves, apes from small animal groups to raise their young.
