As many may know, one of the most famous things from the past is the story of the Salem witchcraft trials. In the year 1629, the village of Salem, Massachusetts was founded and in 1641 English Law states that witchcraft is a capital crime. The story of the witches all starts out when a few children begin showing bizarre behavior.
  In 1688, the accusations of witches began when a child started acting different than normal and then two days later so did her brothers and sisters. The helper in the house was then arrested and examined for witchcraft. She is hanged but the child's behavior continues and worsens. Four years later, the strange behavior with children continues when an eleven year old girl and a nine year old girl begin behaving similar to the way the other children had. Soon many girls began acting similarly. On February 25th, 1692 a black slave bakes a "witch cake" and feeds it to a dog. According to a remedy feeding a dog that kind of cake would counteract the spell put on the girls, and the reason it is fed to a dog is that it is believed to be a familiar of the devil. Later, the woman who baked the cake was accused of being the one who cast the spells on the first two children to start acting str...
