Our world has a lot going for it, for instance we are free to make our own choices. We have freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the  press, and the freedom to gather.We also have choices about our love life. Last, but not least, we have privacy and in 1984 they did not. 1984 is by George Orwell.
     In 1984, most of the people were brainwashed or were to afraid to do anything. For example, the "proles",  all they needed was beer and sex and they would be fine, they didn't, they wouldn't think about anything important. I appreciate that we think about things and challenge other ideas.
     In 1984 all of the outer party didn't have the freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, or the freedom to gather. Those are the things that make our country successful and unique. If we didn't have this things we would probably be just like 1984.
