rash, pocket full of posies signified the carrying of flowers to ward off the disease, a
tishoo...a tishoo described the unrelenting sneezing, and we all fall down was death.  This
deadly disease was the Bubonic Plague or otherwise known as the Black Death.  The
Bubonic Plague was responsible for killing, forty percent of Europe’s population in four

dried toads, and lizards to suck the poison out of the bodie.  They put pigeon blood on the
forehead of the body in hope that the fever would go down.  One french physician Guy de
Chualic sliced open the body and took out the swollen lymph node and replaced it with red
hot pokers(Nancy Day, 26).  They also swallowd pus from other black plague victims.
Pope Clement was so afraid of catching flag he sat between a fire for two weeks.  Some
people applied onions to the sores.  They were not allowed to take showers.  The people
with the plague always had to have their windows closed becuase they believed that it
would escape the room(History Channel)
