The British Are Coming the British Are coming… As probably the whole world knows the president has been accused of some filthy things. Things that in reality should have never been put up on the pedestal with the spotlight affixed to it. As with every current event there is an ulterior motive theory just as there is bound to be with the disgrace and attack upon the presidency for such an inconsistent reason, as a sexually explicit intern-president relationship. The question is why is our president being so ferociously attacked in comparison to many previous presidents he did less than nothing wrong. Our president over the past six years had uplifted our economy and done many other such things as; On May 20, 1993, he signed the National Voter Registration Act (the motor-voter bill) which would make it easier for people to register to vote. In 1995, he signed the Lobbying Disclosure Act, which was the first major overhaul of lobbying regulations in half a century. Also, Clinton fought for the passage of a line-item veto (A line-item veto would allow the president to veto portions of a bill without vetoing the entire legislation. Such a veto would allow the president to veto unnecessary spending, forcing each expense to endure public scrutiny and stand on its own worth. Line-item veto power for a president would certainly result in less sponsorship spending and lower government spending overall. ). This would seem to be an easy fight considering the line-item veto was part of the Republican contract on America, but for some reason the bill has yet to see President Clinton's desk. Also Now, let us take a look at what some refer to as the worst foreign policy in decades. President Clinton restored democratically elected Haitian President Jean Bertrand Aristide to power. Not only did this help promote democracy in Haiti, but it also helped lessen the number of Haitian refugees coming into the United States. He also helped to promote peace in the Middle East by helping Israel and Jordan achieve a historic peace agreement. Clinton persuaded Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazahkstan to give up nuclear weapons that were left behind when the Soviet Union collapsed. He also led the international effort to ensure the indefinite and unconditional extension of the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty, thus helping to stop the spread of nucl...
