     During the past century America has faced many problems in society.  But one problem that is here and continues to grow is racism.  It has made a big impact on Americans and our country.  Two main black leaders that evolved because of racism were Martin Luther King and Malcom X.  Although these men shared some similarities, they also had a lot of differences.
     One common interest that King and X both shared was giving hope for change to the  African-Americans, that some day they would be equal to the whites.  King and X felt deeply that some day everyone would be equal, and to focus on the future to get through today.  To provide hope, both men held public meetings, picketing, riots (both peaceful and not), and told the blacks to stand up for who they are and be proud of their background.  Both of the men were very talented speakers and used this talent to their advantage.  They spoke to everyone, but as individuals.  This made the blacks believe in what they were saying and made it easier to comprehend.  
     Another similarity of both men, that really is a tragedy is they were both assassinated.  Both were assassinated for the same reason:  saying, believing, and making it happen of the equality of blacks and whites on the same level.  There were a lot of whites out there that believed whites were superior now, and always should be.  So when King and X seemed to be making progress in equality, that’s when they were both brought to their death.  They were both fatally shot in front of people.  King, heading outside being met by a lot of followers.  And X during one of his public speeches.
     On the other hand these two men were very different.  King was a peaceful man,               and wanted results in a peaceful manner.  X, however, believed in violence.  Hateful riots, killing, and fighting back, literally. King told hi...
