Stars in the sky were formed billions of years ago by an enormous celestial event,
but four of them were formed on earth in the poor, little town of Liverpool in the early
1940’s.  Those stars, Richard Starkey (Ringo Starr - July 7, 1940), John Winston Lennon
(October 9, 1940), James Paul McCartney (June 18, 1942), and George Harrison
(February 25, 1943) formed the constellation The Beatles.
Every member of the band had come from a “broken home” except for George.
Though their childhood and lifestyles differed, they all shared a strong and common
interest in music.  This hobby served as an escape for Paul, whose mother was killed in a
car accident when he was only 14 years old, the time the band formed.  The guitar was an
occupational method used as an alternative to school mischief and detention for George.
John was defying authority and answering what he believed was his natural calling by

The Beatles gave a Royal Command performance for the Queen of England in November,
1963.  Though popular throughout Britain, the band was unknown in the United States.
Following much exposure from four different record labels and various talk shows, The
Beatles became a world success.  Their rock and roll music and good looks captured the
hearts of millions of fans, particularly teenage girls.  However, in 1965, Paul initiated a
ragtime change in their style, which took fans and the entire music world by surprise.  The
response to the new Rubber Soul album was overwhelming.
The band released the hit album Meet The Beatles in 1963 and the hit film entitled
“A Hard Day’s Night” in 1964, a parody of their own image before Rubber Soul, and the
hit album Revolver ...
